If you’ve been injured on the job, WorkSafeBC is here to help you recover and get back to work safely. We’re pleased to offer Physiotherapy services covered by WorkSafeBC, ensuring that you receive the necessary care without any out-of-pocket expenses. Here’s how it works:

Eligibility and Coverage

Eligibility: To qualify for WorkSafeBC coverage, your injury must be work-related. You’ll need to report the injury to your employer and file a claim with WorkSafeBC.

Claim Approval: Once your claim is approved, WorkSafeBC will cover the cost of physiotherapy sessions. Initially, a set number of sessions may be approved, but additional sessions can be covered if needed.

Coverage Limits: Initially, WorkSafeBC may approve a specific number of physiotherapy sessions. Additional sessions can be covered if your physiotherapist recommends them and WorkSafeBC approves.

No Out-of-Pocket Costs: There’s no need to pay for your sessions upfront. WorkSafeBC will reimburse the physiotherapy clinic directly.

Steps to Get Started

1. Report Your Injury: After an injury, report it to your employer and visit a healthcare provider to document it.
2. File a Claim: Submit your claim to WorkSafeBC, which can be done online, by phone, or by mail.
3. Visit a Physiotherapist: Choose a physiotherapist authorized by WorkSafeBC. They will assess your condition and create a treatment plan tailored to your recovery.
4. Attend Your Sessions: Follow your treatment plan and attend all scheduled sessions to ensure you get the most out of your coverage.
