Eligibility and Coverage

• Eligibility: To qualify for WorkSafeBC coverage, your injury must be work-related. You’ll need to report the injury to your employer and file a claim with WorkSafeBC.
• Claim Approval: Once your claim is approved, WorkSafeBC will cover the cost of physiotherapy sessions. Initially, a set number of sessions may be approved, but additional sessions can be covered if needed.
• Coverage Limits: Initially, WorkSafeBC may approve a specific number of physiotherapy sessions. Additional sessions can be covered if your physiotherapist recommends them and WorkSafeBC approves.
• No Out-of-Pocket Costs: There’s no need to pay for your sessions upfront. WorkSafeBC will reimburse the physiotherapy clinic directly.

Steps to Get Started

1. Report Your Injury: After an injury, report it to your employer and visit a healthcare provider to document it.
2. File a Claim: Submit your claim to WorkSafeBC, which can be done online, by phone, or by mail.
3. Visit a Physiotherapist: Choose a physiotherapist authorized by WorkSafeBC. They will assess your condition and create a treatment plan tailored to your recovery.
4. Attend Your Sessions: Follow your treatment plan and attend all scheduled sessions to ensure you get the most out of your coverage.
